Hey there! I’m Kay, owner of XO Creations. Making jewelry started as a hobby for me, and quickly turned into a passion!
I have been in the hair industry for 18+ years and I have a background in floral design.  I have always had a great passion for art, no matter what form - from sculpting to painting hair. I am a natural born artist.

I started mining my own minerals in 2018. My first experience finding crystals began with a beach on the Hudson River, where quartz crystals sparkled in the sand. It started with surface collecting and soon after I began removing shale slabs to reveal my first pocket of massive quartz! This is where my passion for minerals began. With a rapid growing collection, XO Creations was born. 

I taught myself how to wire wrap at the end of 2018. With a little practice, a lot of patience and the support of friends and family, I started focusing on making this journey a career. Each year, from April thru October, I travel to upstate NY to mine the elusive Herkimer Diamond. Herkimers are by far my favorite mineral to mine! Their clarity and shape make them a perfect gemstone to use raw. Their energy is unmatched and make them a must have for any mineral enthusiasts collection. 

I have travelled all over the North East collecting a variety of minerals to use in my work. From AAA grade Herkimer Diamonds, otherworldly Prehnite bubbles, lustrous smoky quartz, rare New England amethyst and deep black Schorl. 2024 will be filled with travelling the United States and new discoveries. 
It brings me great joy to be able to share my creativity with others and I am so grateful I have the opportunity to make art everyday. What better way to spread joy than by creating wearable works art!
